Archives for category: Logos

Here is a logo that I created for Fleet Partners. I wanted to create a logo that had a mark that could be separated from the text “Fleet”; however, when the two were used together, I wanted them to fit together seamlessly. In addition, I wanted a third version that would be used in more formal settings where the “Partners” text needed to be added.

I would describe this client as a real life “Hitch”. So, ”Hitch” is a writer that creates “how to” articles for men. The gold tie is the symbol for his brand, so I incorporated it into the typography. In addition to the mark, he wanted an illustration of three men walking from an urban skyline. The skyline and men are only used as a supplement to the main mark.

A good friend of mine from high school came to me looking for an identity for his lawn business. His last name is “Barber”. Sometimes good concepts are literally handed to you. I can’t take credit for the cleverness of the name, but I did create the mark.

As many of you know, I graduated from the School of Art & Art History at the University of Oklahoma back in 2008. During my time at OU, I spent a lot of nights in that old building. A couple of years later I was approached by my professors to redesign the identity for the school. Needless to say, I was ecstatic. To get a chance to redesign the logo for the school in which I love so much, was a great honor. The logo is simple and clean, paying homage to the strong typography background for which the school is known.

About 2 hours after my wife blessed me with a son on May 14, 2010, I started working on his logo. Everybody needs a logo, and let’s be honest, it is going to be some time before I can show him around Illustrator. Here it is. His name is Carter Pierce.
