Here is a logo that I have been working on for the Lone Star Jeep Club. As you probably know, I am a Jeep enthusiast. I haven’t joined this club yet, but I am hoping I can trade this new logo for a free membership. Let me know if you think this needs something else to be finished. I want to add texture to it eventually, but right now I am focusing on the form and color.

Here is a logo I have been working on for the infamous Pinewood Derby League Grand Prix of 1974 that was held in Texas. If I had only sanded my car a touch more, I could have won.
A client of mine just opened a new dental practice in a small town called Madill in Oklahoma. He wanted the identity to have a vintage feel because the office is located in the historic downtown area. I feel that the classic look of this mark will be a nice contrast to most modern day dental logos with illustrations of teeth and aqua color palettes. Above is the final logo. Below I have included 3 of my initial directions.
I recently finished designing a logo for a new Austin restaurant: taste717. The restaurant defines itself as “upscale American”. Even though the restaurant will have the amenities of a sports bar, taste717 will specialize in fine food and a modern atmosphere.
You might recognize the brand font for taste717, Gotham. For the true type nerds like myself, Gotham is an American font and taste 717 is an American food restaurant. Plus, Gotham’s neutral design style worked well with the “taste” script, which is a font called Radio. I modified the “s” in “taste” to be a custom character, as the original was too quirky.
To help keep the usage of the logo consistent, I also put together a Brand Guidelines for taste717. This is a service I now recommend to all of my clients requesting a logo.
Necessary Equipment is a company that specializes in renting on-site equipment to oil companies. They mainly rent swamp coolers and eye washing stations to oil rigs for the employees to cool off and take a break. Because the company intends to expand into other types of equipment rentals, I chose a bolt head shape to house the ligature for its universal quality.
My Jeep is still rockin’ the old “dp” logo and needs to be updated. Inspired by old military badges originally seen on Jeeps, I have designed a “dp” badge logo just for the use on the sides of my Jeep. I have also incorporated a couple additional colors into this version of the “dp” logo to help tie in not only the rims, but the stock Jeep stickers and the interior. Let me know what you think.

If you guys convince me I should stay with a more traditional “dp” logo approach, this is what I have in mind.
Hello all. I am currently working on logo for a neighborhood in Dallas. Merriman Park Estates was established in the late 50′s. Most of the properties are Ranch-style. Give me some feedback on which direction you prefer, or if you have a different direction I should consider. Thanks.
A few months back, at the agency I work for in Dallas, we needed to come up with a logo for an internal game that was called “Shopper Safari”. Basically, we were divided into groups and sent out to do research on the surrounding market regarding shopper experience. To convey both “shopper” and “safari”, I came up with a shopping cart with mud terrain tires. I don’t know about you, but I have always wanted to lift a shopping cart and put bigger tires on it. Finally, here it is.
The Pirahna Bar is a trendy, downtown bar where you are more likely to be served a martini than a Miller Lite. With an edgy name like Pirahna Bar, I thought the mark needed to be simple, but not too clean. To give it the edgy look I was going for, I took my illustration, added a rough texture, and married it with a bold, sans-serif, all caps font. Did anyone see the olive right off? Does anyone recognize that font? If so, leave a comment with your answer below.
